MEET CATHERINE…
Catherine, a dedicated professional, is embarking on her first full-time role as a receptionist at TRD. With a firm commitment to excellence, Catherine serves as the initial point of contact for clients at the company.
Concurrently, she is pursuing her Business Administration Level 3 NVQ to further her knowledge and skills. Having commenced her journey at the firm as an apprentice, Catherine is on track to transition into a full-fledged employee in the upcoming months.
Beyond her professional endeavours, Catherine cherishes moments with her family, particularly with her two younger sisters, and relishes socialising with friends. When not at work, she enjoys vacationing in sunny locales. Notably, Catherine is actively engaged in a business project aimed at enhancing operational efficiency by streamlining paper document filing processes and providing administrative support to the Accountants.
MEET TOM…
Tom joined the TRD team in January 2024 bringing with him 5 years of experience as a Sales Manager, along with 15 years of entrepreneurship as a letting agent, and his versatile background shines through. Holding a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Manchester, Tom is dedicated to advancing his career by pursuing an ACCA qualification.
Outside of work, Tom is a devoted father to his son, Tommy. He finds joy in playing Tabletop wargames and discovering new culinary experiences in the city. With a passion for continuous learning and a wealth of diverse experiences, Tom aims to leverage his past roles to bring substantial value to the TRD team.
MEET BONNIE…
Bonnie joined TRD in June 2023, bringing with her over 20 years of valuable accounts experience. Originally from South Africa, she made the bold move to the UK to pursue new opportunities. Despite stepping into a practice setting for the first time, Bonnie impressed us with her dedication and quick learning.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and professional growth, Bonnie is currently pursuing her ACCA qualification, showcasing her commitment to excellence and continuous development. Her motto “better late than never” encapsulates her proactive approach to self-improvement.
Beyond her professional endeavours, Bonnie is a devoted mother to two teenage boys who constantly keep her on her toes. In her free time, she finds solace in nature, often exploring the outdoors through long walks and runs.
At TRD, Bonnie’s presence has not only enriched our team with her extensive expertise but also brought a vibrant energy that resonates with our values of collaboration and growth. MEET KIRSTIN…
Who joined as a trainee in 2011 and qualified as an Accounting Technician in 2016.
She is bright and bubbly with wonderful enthusiasm who deals with accounts preparation, VAT, taxation and payroll administration for our clients.
Kirstin works alongside Angela and her day-to-day duties consist of; Running payroll, including calculating national insurance on employee and employer basis and taxes, Real Time Information submissions to HMRC, calculations of Statutory Sick pay and Maternity/ Paternity pay. Completion of sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts. Guidance and completion of self-employment and partnership tax returns. Completion of limited company corporation tax returns. Quarterly bookkeeping, VAT reconciliations and submissions to HMRC. Quarterly Machine Games Duty calculations and submissions to HMRC.
In her spare time, she does lots of walking with friends and family, is a keen football fan and loves cats and penguins.
MEET ANGELA…
Who is responsible for the smooth running of the payroll department, ensuring all clients are happy with the service they receive, and their employees are paid correctly on time.
She is also responsible for hitting HMRC filing deadlines, payroll processing, calculating statutory payments, holiday pay, workplace pension duties, auto enrolment, employment benefits and was the saviour in the office for managing all of the Furlough Scheme calculations and claims during the pandemic. She has served the accountancy world for over 25 years, which has enabled her to keep up-to-date and on top of the ever-changing payroll field where she is an expert on all matters.
In her spare time, she’s partial for a walk with family and friends but usually ends up stopping to rest in a beer garden. Angela loves a good drama, whether on Tv or reading a good book where a James Patterson thriller is her first choice.
MEET WILL…
In the office it’s all about the client’s wellbeing including accounts, VAT, tax services and anything else that helps TRD clients succeed.
At home it’s all about family, travelling, food and when he gets his own time there’s sport, technology, music, fitness, science, history, and exploring the world.
MEET LUCY…
Who is a qualified chartered certified accountant having been a member of the TRD team for a number of years.
Lucy has vast experience in all aspects of the practices client services and focuses greatly on client care. She is responsible for reviewing the team’s work and is involved in training and mentoring. Lucy works with a variety of SMEs from all sorts of business sectors where she prepares accounts and carries out audits of owner managed businesses. Lucy also provides corporation taxation and personal taxation services and offers client strategic and financial advice.
In her spare time Lucy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, travelling and learning Spanish.
MEET ELLEN…
Who joined the practice in 2010 and qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 2016. She deals in the day-to-day decision making with the clients, getting involved in every aspect of their needs and works closely with members of the TRD team, training and mentoring them to ensure the clients get a tip top service. Ellen is responsible for delivering accounts and tax for SME’s, helping individuals with their personal tax affairs including capital gains tax, group and company audits and general client care.
Ellen spends lots of quality time exploring the outdoors with her family. Trying out new restaurants and travelling are what she enjoys most. Her guilty pleasures are superhero movies, listening to podcasts and watching a good Netflix series.
MEET JENNIFER…
Who qualified as a chartered certified accountant with a London top 10 firm and is a registered auditor on paper. Jennifer bucks the general stereotype of the profession to offer clients meaningful, proactive and timely advice, which adds value to our clients and she assists them to deal with the ever changing business landscape.
Jennifer oversees the overall day to day management at TRD, working closely with the team regarding client matters, mentors staff as well as the strategic planning of the practice to provide a strong, full service to the client base.
Time with family and friends as well as walking Ocean her pet dog, aptly named because of living near to the coast help her relax away from her desk. Jen also like to travel, attend live music gigs, the theatre and food – unless it’s Brussel sprouts!
